The North American Malayalee Soccer League is organizing the 2nd Annual V. P. Sathyan Memorial Tournament, which will take place in Austin, Texas, from August 4th to August 6th. This tournament is a significant event for the Malayalee community in North America and aims to honor the memory of V. P. Sathyan, a renowned Indian footballer.

The tournament will feature nine clubs representing major cities from across North America. These teams will compete against each other in a series of soccer matches. All the games will be held at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex, providing a central and convenient location for the participants and spectators.

The matches will follow the traditional 11 v 11 formats, where each team will simultaneously have 11 players on the field. This format allows for a full-sized playing field, creating an exciting and challenging environment for the players.

In addition to the main tournament, the hosting team will organize a separate contest for players aged 35 and above. This tournament will follow a seven v seven format, meaning each team will have seven players on the field. The 35+ game has attracted 12 teams, further highlighting the interest and participation of older players within the Malayalee community.
